Hi all, I think it would be of great use if, when hosting MP especially, but also to a lesser extent in singleplayer, the host/SimSignaller could have a timetable edit window open (whether that be to update a TT via F2 or add a new train via F4) but also be able to signal trains at the same time. As I say, in singleplayer this is less of an issue because pausing is easily done. In a multiplayer host, I find pausing often would ruin the 'immersion' of the game, and I have had countless occasions where I have had a slightly short staffed game, leading me to take a panel, and then finding myself having to make a few TT adjustments due to disruption at the same time. This would be infinitely easier if I could just click back on the main 'panel' window UI and not have to close my (usually, half finished edited TT) to signal a class 1 past a junction quickly. Clearly at the moment I have to choose between delaying trains, or re-doing the TT edit several times as I close the editing window to access signal controls. Many thanks, Andrew Log in to reply |

You can run another instance of the simulation as a client. Edit the timetable on the server simulation; run trains on the client simulation.

Great suggestion Geoff - disappointed I didn't think of it. Many thanks.
