Very interesting. Thank you. One small item I noticed on the Hereford Screenshot. It's Onibury, not Oninbury.
Also, Pontypool has an island platform.

Boxes were added in quickly before the meet, to indicate their positioning for clearing points. At the time, I couldn't, in my head see how to shrink them down size wise. (Thanks Ben....)

The *1 was to indicate where Heaton Norris is located between the running lines for the up and down fast.

For anyone interest, I have updated the Stockport preview image, link in the initial post on this thread, to the current state.

As for an older era, if someone has the data and is willing to share that with me, I will happily add in an older era. For example, in addition to that mentioned up the thread, I know there was more sidings around Edgeley Junction No.2.

James

Will there be a multiplayer/masochist option to run the simulation with Hunts Cross style lever frames?

If you really wanted to up the stress level, force correct use of the special bell codes used in the Stockport area for routing purposes (he wrote, grinning sadistically).

Meanwhile, attached are two photos of the former Stockport No. 2 diagram, as preserved by the group who run live steam locos in Walton Park, Sale.

I will be looking forward to the Port Talbot sim. Do not know the area, but looks very interesting. I had a little trouble following the lines. Took me quite a while to find where Bridgend line to Maesteg married up on the diagram, realising the confusing was because the Tondu diagram does not follow the same direction of flow as that from Bridgend. So as a bit of fun I did a version I would have preferred.

It certainly looks like it will be a highly enjoyable sim - will be able to appreciate it more after yesterday's railtour!

Tondu is an interesting area....the signalling has been retained as semaphore PURELY for TATA Steel....2 ways in & (effectively) 1 way out -
Bridgend & Margam Moors Jn (freight diversionary line which is used maybe once a year....)
Tondu-Maesteg for passenger,
Tondu - Garw Loop for freight turn-around...that line used to continue up to Pontycymmer.

I've got internal photos of the box if you would be interested to see the diagram.

ALSO: Setting it out like you have makes no sense - the Garw/Margam lines are opposite ends of eachother, so you basically traverse across the FULL Tondu area to go from 1 to the other.

As the diagram shows - the Garw loop is on the same end as the Maesteg line, with the Margam/Bridgend lines going off on a Y!

You'd have to address your concern to the original builder of the box, shamelessly I just copied it.

Well folks with the release of the 2015 timetable for LTS, and the release of Manchester East yesterday that draws the planned Q1 releases for 2018 to a close.

Here's to Q2!

Purely for general information and to avoid any conflicts with other timetable devleopers, I am working on additional timetables as follows:

Manchester East 1985 (pre Hazel Grove chord; long distance passenger workings via Philips Park - Ashburys)
Manchester East 1987 (chord open: many cross-Manchester workings via Ashton Moss)
Manchester East 1991 (after shift of North Trans-Pennine to Piccadilly)

Manchester Piccadilly 1996 (both airport chords open; 2 platforms)
also possibly Manchester Piccadilly 1993 (early days of airport; only north chord open)

These are all subject to the moderators' OK, as with all user-contributed timetables, so no guarantees on availability or timescales. That said, the Manchester East trio should be complete within a month.

The Piccadilly ones are a massive undertaking and testing takes ages, so they will be end-May at the earliest. 1993 will only be produced if there is enough differentiation to 1996 to get me interested!

Simulation and Timetable Release Schedule

First off, a note of caution, this only applies to simulations in development by Headshot119 (Karl) and Pedroathome (James), and timetables in development by Meld (John), Kaiwhara (Andrew) and MarkC (Mark). Other things may be released by other developers above and beyond what is planned here. All timetable releases referenced are from the 8th of April 2015 set. Any simulation released is assumed to ship with an 8th of April 2015 timetable.

I will keep on top of this post, and add any updates, changes etc as we go along.

Release Schedule

Quarter 2

Timetable – Marylebone – Late Q2 (Meld)
Timetable – Oxford – Late Q2 (Meld)
Timetable – Leamington – Late Q2 (Meld)
These hopefully will still make the end of Q2 but may now be early Q3

Then for the end of Q3 Newcastle, York, Leeds Ardsley, Leeds East/West & Leeds North

These additions to the schedule are subject to any new simulations developed by the Dev Team

Passed the age to be doing 'Spoon Feeding' !!!

just to say we Rotherwood & Wath men worked the 1970s MGR trains bound for Fiddlers Ferry with pairs of Cl.76s to Mottram Yard or Godley Jc but never to Guide Bridge.

Shaun, that's still the plan at the current moment in time, if anything changes I'll keep this thread up to date.
