A few members of the group that I run (Signalboxes & Signalling Group) have voiced their dislike at signalling simulations being posted within the group, as it is "not real". With this in mind, a new Facebook group has been set up for regular simulation postings (not restricted to purely signalling. Simular items like Train Simulator can also be posted) and for people to discuss sims etc. If you would like to join, CLICK HERE We are NOT carpet-banning SimSig/signalling simulations from SB&S. Merely making a group to enable more-frequent posting to take place, without upsetting people. NOTE: This group is NOT an affiliate of SimSig. Point of order. Doesn't Network Rail use Simisg or an incarnation of Simsig as a training toll. Ergo it is real.

No Network Rail does not use SimSig for training. SimSig whilst a good representation of how trains are signalled, it is a long way off what real Training Simulators are like. The interface, layout is much different to real Training Simulators. If only the real thing was as easy as SimSig.

More to the point the professional version of Simsig evolved into TREsim, which as far as I can tell has been a separate piece of software for quite some time. At around 1:20 in this video you can still see some of the shared heritage, though, because the timetable editor layout looks suspiciously familiar...

TRE, as was, licensed a version of SimSig way back when, called TRESIM. TRESIM and SimSig evolved separately but fundamentally there are large chunks of commonality between the two because of the common heritage. It also helps that I led the development of TRESIM back then too! So to say that NR do not use SimSig is not technically accurate.
