Carlisle V4.1 is now available by "check for updates" and thus is now in Loader format. There are 8 timetables included: while the standard Groundhog ones are fairly standard, note that the 1970s ones are pretty tough, especially with shunting of locos and stock around Carlisle station. In other words, start with the easier Groundhog TTs first and move onto the difficult ones when you're more confident and have friends to help play! Royston also updated. Fantastic news - with a BR-era timetable too! I believe my household tasks may have to go onto a back burner for a couple of days.

I'll probably start a Carlisle sim very soon despite the fact that I've got Edinburgh, Tyneside, York, Peterborugh, Cambridge and Kings Cross all on the go and probably a few others as well. Oh well, bang goes some of the sleep between 11pm and 7am. Well done those concerned! Everything that you make will be useful - providing it's made of chocolate. Damn, I feel like my house move is going to be unsuccessful at this rate! First the Australian sims and now this! Carlisle was one of my favourite sims but I remember the primitive gradient code causing me problems in the exe version, I'll be delighted to play this one!

Fantastic sim ! Well done to all who have worked on getting this onto the loader. I jumped in at the deep end yesterday afternoon and went for the 1980 version.... Wow! I got in a bit of a mess by 0230 but thoroughly enjoyed it ! Late to bed ... again ! Log in to reply |
