1. Currently, the override jumps back to Auto immediately if I try to operate it for a second train on the line for which the signal has already cleared. This makes it a little more difficult (or sometimes impossible?) to preselect which train should go next if multiple trains are closely following each other and are approaching the junction on both lines.

Might it be possible to only reset the override control back to Auto the moment the invisible route across the junction is actually being set (and the signal clears)? That way, I could already operate the override for the next train immediately afterwards, before the auto working has a chance to kick in.

2. Even if I watch the TD in the attached save file like a hawk and operate the override as soon as N110 has passed the signal and restored it to red, I cannot get NT34 to get priority over 130E. This might be either because of 1.) above, i.e. the auto working is quicker than myself and already sets the next route before I have time to operate the override again, or there might be a general problem with the override taking effect if trains are already quite close to the junction on both lines.

I've already asked why the Ryde Overryde does not Overryde Ryde. I'll get my coat!

Saves of the override ignoring input is attached.

I had the impression the button did something but this seems to be a placebo effect!

The OverRyde was added in case the decision-making code got stuck and stopped setting any routes at all. It's not really intended to instruct the Epping signaller to send trains in a particular order.

With that said, we recognise that it is making mistakes and has been logged for us to sort out.

It does override it, but does it too fast for the user to choose if two trains are within the strike-in point. The main was extended while the relief was shortened (to cope with stopping trains reaching the strike-in point before the main had even entered, where the main was due first), but it's still not enough if both are already "there".

Apart from the fact that the strike-in points are currently the wrong way around for timetables taking place post Epping rebuild, I think the same also applies for the speed over the 2-to-1-track junction beyond West Ryde, i.e. it's the Up Main that ought to have the 25 km/h speed limit nowadays.
