I'm doing some McSim TT work at the moment. There are lots of trains crossing from one sim to another so lots of cross-referencing from one TT to the next to check. Is there an XML TT reader available (or even in development) so that I can check the TT of an adjacent sim directly without having to go through the hassle of opening a new loader then loading the sim just to read the TT in F4? John - I tend to copy html simplifiers for changeover locations into an excel sheet - couple of mins to do and never had any major issues

It's a problem I've yet to solve programmatically. I had ideas but they were all missing something.

Thinking again, maybe I'm just making it more complicated than it needs to be. I was aiming for checks that a train exits sim A on line X and enters sim B also on line X, and both with the same characteristics (length, speed, etc). Ideally it should, but is the first step just to compare the list of trains side-by-side, pair them by TID/UID, and highlight any which exist in one and not the other, or which have different characteristics? There are flaws in that, of course. Some trains never go to the other sim. Some trains divide/join en-route. But would it be a useful first step? If so, anybody with programming skills could do it - XML is easy to load for software and it requires no knowledge of sim data. An exercise for the reader, you might say. Any volunteers? XML work is above my pay grade I'm afraid. There are probably teaching aids on t'internet which would help me get my head round it so that's one for the back burner.
