Just been watching this and thought I'd share it with you all. http://www.britishrailways.tv/british-railways?task=viewvideo&video_id=1266 Be warned - it's just under 22 minutes long! Some of you may have seen it before, others may have not. Either way it should have something of interest for every one of you - very near the start they use bell codes and a bit later on it shows the old methods of picking up or dropping off mail at the lineside without having to stop. Absolutely fantastic clip. Any views and / or opinions expressed by myself are from me personally and do not represent those of any company I either work for or am a consultant for. Log in to reply |

If you enjoyed that clip, I'd recommend a visit to a GCR special event with the TPO running. There's no 4-4-4 bell signal (yet...), but there is the mix of Absolute Block signalling and postal drops seen in the video.
