That was my thought, hence the Derby question. Given that the simulation can chain to two previously seen simulations, that does imply that Stoke-on-Trent is included in addition to the Stoke- North Stafford line- the additional chains being to either Stafford or the already-previewed Manchester South.
It is indeed Caverswall.

Small hint, The sim being previewed Does not chain to Stafford.

So it includes the section that SOT controls around Norton bridge to match Rugby SCC. So will still chain to Manchester South, Derby and Crewe (one day)

So Egginton to Foley Crossing then
That would be a small sim without Stoke been an option? Stoke included would make it ideal wouldn't it??

Indeed but gives a Derby chain. I have had my eye on Stoke in the hope that comes out one day. Perhaps it will. Either that or the comment about not chaining to Stafford could be read as "does not chain to Stafford for the time being". Who knows....

I think the reason it doesn't chain to Stafford is because it's an updated version of Stafford! It has the new passing loops near Ashton by stone. The Level crossings are church lane, ashton by stone and hixton.
See you tomorrow

Sounds promising if its true. Stoke/North Stoke/Stafford on one sim. That could/would be brillant. I won't be attending this time around but looking forward to any images/posts regarding this..

A bit more research is required as the level crossing at Hixon was replaced by a bridge in 2002.

Also if you are referring to the teaser screen shot - I am not sure that the area controlled by Stoke SC has semaphore/disc shunting signals.

The picture I'm referring to as Uttoxeter Section of line between Stoke and North Staffs Jn.
As far as I'm aware there isn't any loops between Stoke and Stone Jn/Colwich Jn

Actually there is a loop between Stoke-on-Trent and Wedgwood, just past where the line to Derby leads off. However that is on the side of the line used by trains from Wedgwood to Stoke and it can be seen here: https://www.opentraintimes.com/maps/signalling/sot

Perhaps we might be in for a surprise and end up with two sims (Stoke-on-Trent SCC and Stoke to Derby) but I suspect that may be wishful thinking as the teaser only referred to 'sim' not 'sims'.

See you all on Saturday.
Dave

That thing you do in a library called reading??
Location been Reading..
Reading has already been announced as in development, and a screenshot was posted a few years ago.

Previously announced simulations (to the best of my memory) are: Reading, Slough, Port Talbot, Hereford, West Wales, Walsall, Stockport, Manchester South, Warrington and Preston.
I didn't see anything of Reading nor a image to be fair. That's why I guessed it. But thinking about it I'm sure it was mentioned at the Glasgow meet unless the drink was talking to me instead by that time...

I know Preston/Warrington are in development as are the others mentioned.
If you supply the developer with enough
Beverages I’m sure he can be persuaded to let you have a very quick look at Reading...

Nada from me, seeing that I am typing this from my livingroom. Shoved onto training duties at work.

Enjoy.

Thats a shame Hap. I know the feeling of not being able to come to meets because of work commitments. I'm sure we'll keep you updsated.

And I can confirm that I have 2 laptops with me so hope that will help with facilitating the chain.

Thank you Karl for hosting the meet. Really good to see a decent turnout.

Well done to the developers responsible for the work on the previously unseen sims - Sandhills IECC (Merseyrail) and Staffordshire - it was good to see that the former Stafford sim has been expanded to take in Stoke SCC and also the boxes down toward Derby. Credit also to the creator of the Sandhills IECC sim who, I was told, had only started work on it 3 days after the release of Port Talbot.

It was good to play Manchester South, Sandhills IECC and Staffordshire sims and also to see Stockport sim up close: I look forward to the release of all 4 and will be sure to get them.

Cheers,
Dave
