Trains vanish at Rhymney North GF 10/01/2019 at 19:36 #114653

Hi,

5Y09 appears from Rhymney North GF and waits at "RN4", so I handsignalled "lever 4" towards the stopping point North Ground Frame. I then "replaced" the signal.

Driver then calls to request a token, which is duly taken. [Save attached at this point].

After another handsignal from sidings, driver accelerates to 15mph... then disappears, never to be seen again and the line is locked out as the token interlocking can't be overridden.

Either I'm doing something very very wrong or there's a bug. Help!

Thanks
Jamie

Did you operate the ground frame to let the driver out onto the mainline, or did you just give the handsignal back into the sidings?

Just ran your save game, 5Y09 moves out onto the mainline if the ground frame is correctly operated.

You need to release the ground frame on the main display

Insert the token into the lock
Reverse 1
Reverse 2
Normalise 1
Reverse 5

Then reverse the process to restore the ground frame.

Or watch this helpful tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoMR7GzIAuE

Ah, I think it shot into the sidings again when I gave handsignal 4 (I think that should not have happened!) - got it working as you described.

I got a bit muddled by the fact the describer is in the headshunt, when the train originated in sidings.

Thanks!
Jamie

I think the driver was thinking "wtf? back into the sidings!? Ah well, I won't complain, short workday, let's go home!" ;-)
