2C05 came to a halt at signal 2 complaining of a red signal (which displays grey unless overriden). Since (a) trains had already gone that way and (b) I had not operated the override on that signal I let it wait. 30 mins later I told it to pass the red (with due caution etc...) on to WM 204 which it happily went straight past. 2C06 now close behind also came to a halt at the same signal (2C05 had vanished). I had no signal or TC failure message. Is this a normal confusion at signalling area boundaries or something odd?
