Is there a reason West Yorkshire seems to take a lot longer to save compared to other sims? Saving both manual saves and snapshots is taking almost a minute in some cases, and this is on a solid-state drive with a lot of processing power; I've even turned snapshots off to avoid this happening every simulated 10 minutes. I know all sims freeze briefly on saving (presumably so that everything is perfectly synced), but even large sims such as Leeds City and Motherwell take a fraction of the time. It isn't a criticism or anything like that; I'm happy to deal with it if its down to sim and WTT complexity; its just a little frustrating when in the middle of some complex moves the game locks up for such a long time. Looking at the file sizes, it doesn't appear to be any different. Can you start a new game without a timetable and then do a save, and see if it's still as long?

I downloaded the latest update this morning, whilst my old savegame still suffered the same symptoms (size 380kb), I've now started a fresh game which is saving as normal. Everything is the same in terms of TT/options but the new savegames are about 100kb smaller than the ones taken at roughly the same in-game times which were causing the problem.

That's odd then. So everything is okay now?

Yes, snapshots back on and barely noticeable in the background as per usual!

London Bridge is the only one I have this trouble with. But then, there is probably a lot of data to be saved. Kev Log in to reply |
