I fancied creating a 4-Day timetable for Carlisle Mainly Wed, Thur Fri & Sat. I've created one day Wed 22 May 2019 and have it saved. Now I don't know how to go about creating 'the 4 days'. I know people have done some fab 4-day timetables, but the way I wanted to go was basically Wed through to Saturday so past the 24hr mark etc. Do I need to create individual timetabled days? them merge them to make one. Would anyone have a guide to help? As most of the trains have the same UID through out week apart from a couple of FO trains. What about rules etc.

If you want to create it to run 4 days continuously you need to add 24/48/72 hours to the trains timetable. Simsig will convert this into the 24hr clock when playing. Eg a train departs location X at. 02:05 everyday. It will need a Wednesday timetable, a Thursday timetable departing 26:01 and Friday timetable departing 30:01 etc. "We don't stop camborne wednesdays" Log in to reply The following user said thank you: HST125Scorton |

I might be going about this the wrong way but I'm creating them as individual timetables so as per day Wed to Sat. Then hoping to merge Thur/Fri & Sat into the Wednesday timetable. Wed Starts at 00:00, Thur starts at 24:00, Fri starts at 48:00 & Sat starts at 72:00. Hopefully I shouldn't run into issues. But thanks to all with the advise.

You might need to adjust UIDs and TDs in actions but it could save some time in entering the same data (+24 hours) 3 times over. You could then create the dated trains in separate daily TTs and merge them once the core data was in. John Mills (Meld) and Pascal (58050) did something like that for a heritage TT for the exe Sheffield.where you loaded the core TT then merged in the daily add-on for the day you wanted. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Last edited: 23/05/2019 at 07:14 by postal Reason: None given Log in to reply The following user said thank you: axmh |

Most of the packaged TTs are for a specific day so wouldn't cater for a week but there's quite a few where decisions and rules govern which train enters depending on the day of the week which is either selected or randomly generated at the start of the timetable. I've made a start with this 4-Day timetable, I've loaded up a temp WTT here for those.. I would welcome some advise.. so I split the trains UID to include the day? Like H22227-THUR example? Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Aaron (AJRO) | Timetable Writer Log in to reply |

For an example see Carlisle 79-80 SIAM are mostly historical, where day by day variation was higher. To take this further, could the 'DAYOFWEEK' decision, or whatever it is agreed it is called) be passed up to the start screen so it can be forced ? Some sims have day dependent seeds. This would also provide a fix for chaining timetables as each sim could be forced to a day of the week before the clock starts ticking. Bill Log in to reply |

After this I'm going to do a 3-day timetable based on a Fri/Sat/Sun. Aaron (AJRO) | Timetable Writer Log in to reply |

Why not do a base passenger timetable then add freights to it with a DOTW decision?

I have a Two-Day Carlisle that I've just finalised based on 14th & 15th June 2019, each train has its own UID plus a day attached eg. H23700-THU etc meaning the train started on a Thursday and runs through Friday morning early hours. All rules are in place and I'm testing it soon. Release is also depending on when the updated sim arrives for Loader, this I don't know.
