Ok so I am making a timetable to represent the works going on at Lime Street meaning there will be no trains from the Huyton direction, and all VT, LNW, TPX & EM trains will terminate at LSP (Liverpool South Parkway. However I have a slight problem as P4 at LSP isn't long enough in the sim to house a class 390 coming from Edge Hill of a morning to start a service to London so the likes of 5A02 would have to go into P3 and start from there, but would that then block the points for trains to access signal AN4? So just found out it doesn't block points P38F or P39 so P3 is ok to use for the first few VT to London :-) Thank you Last edited: 01/06/2018 at 22:10 by Jezzabusdriver Reason: None given Log in to reply |

The answer to that is in whichever timetable it is, the writer hasn't specified reversal dwell times for the stock so it will be ready and ring out immediately. At one stage the core code took account of the instant turnback by allowing a fixed time to close down one cab, the walking time from one cab to the other which varied depending on the length of the consist and a fixed time to open up the other cab. However, the one-size-fits-all approach didn't allow for things like a change of driver where one cab was being opened up as the other was closing or a long freight reversing out onto a main line then sitting for 4 or 5 minutes when in reality the driver walked from one cab to the other rather than walking past 400m. of consist. As the facility is available in both train timetable and train type to specify a reversing time, it was decided that all reverses would be governed by the reversing time specified in the TT - so no reversing time, immediate turnround.I am just using this thread to ask a question, I am finding delayed services arriving at Lime St , and within seconds o gat TRTS .. It is not a usually a big deal for most TTs as it only takes an edit to a small number of train types to add in realistic turnround times. One for an individual TT writer to address rather than a generic problem. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply The following user said thank you: tynie123 |
