Why does not ARS execute Platform Share at P3? PS works fine NON - ARS!

Which trains are involved? What timetable are involved? Is there a save game available?

Ive been running the Sheffield SX 09 01 2019 0000 start TT on ARS and have found each train which have booked platform shares in P3 or 4 require a manual intervention.

Another oddity Ive found in this timetable is trains that come from Barrow Hill Roundhouse enter from the roundhouse ,reverse on the Dn Goods Loop, get as far as the North junction passing sig 247 then just stop over the junction. The driver then rings asking to proceed back to the Dn Goods loop !The trains dont seem to make it as far as sig 1020 to reverse onto the Up Main.

Sheffield SX 08 04 2015 0000 start Saved file 07:00 attached Trains 2P35 and 2L12 P3.

Could you confirm which train headcodes and timetable start time that this impacts? There were a few missing the sig 1020 reversing points in the first released version of the timetable, but I thought they had been fixed with the released timetable version 1.1.

6M24,0Z20,0M38,0Z88 and 5E07 from what I recall. The timetable start time is 0000 start.
I have noted that the version number on the text states Ver 1.0 not 1.1

I run the loader/updater regularly and it shows everything as updated.However I did start this timetable some time ago ,so the saved sim must have been with the earlier version. Starting a new sim does come up with ver 1.1

Whenever you start a new run the TT you select is locked in and saved with every save of the game; it doesn't pick up the latest version of the TT from your hard disk when you load a previously saved game.

It can give rise to problems if you edit the TT. For example, suppose you edit the TT at 00:15, save the edited TT then reload a saved game from 00:10. That game was saved before you edited the TT so you are back to the unedited TT. If you save the TT at that point, you over-write the TT saved with your edits and your edits are lost. I lost lots and lots of edits and hours of inputting work until I got my head round that.

Indeed,I forgot that I had started this a while ago.The trouble is that I dont often have the time to run timetables fully,so dip into them now and again.You then update and when I do get around to carry on ,forget that the saved game was probably one or two versions old !

Proceed on sight authority. Where the route is set safely but not clear. The new Thameslink signalling has them but I'm not sure where else has them.

Regarding the real thing not doing this that would be correct but if full ARS is selected it should route platform shares.

The aspect given to a driver is a flashing version of the standard shunt/subsidiary signal showing 'proceed'.
