I have put this on Mantis but cannot seem to logon to Mantis since the upgrade to see what is happening I have got a current timetable for Tyneside that is ready to go (with a few extras and surprises) However the simulation will not allow trains to be scheduled to Tyne Dock via Boldon East - Boldon North which they do in reality in stead of running round in Pelaw goods loop Post has attachments. Its not really an option to send them to pelaw loops due to pathing and timing reasons. Log in to reply |

I feel sorry for anyone who spends a lot of time and effort into making Current Timetables and being unable to release them due to sim inaccuracies. This sim is payware and something like this should be of a higher importance. Log in to reply |

This is why the sim accurately at the time did not include it. We cannot predict the future and one should not expect every update Network Rail do to their own infrastructure to be immediately replicated in a simulation that was released some time ago. That said, this particular ticket is on the queue to do. SimSig Boss Log in to reply The following users said thank you: phil1044, chrisdmadd |

Thanks Geoff. I have a timetable for Tyneside waiting for the update so I can release it. I have a work around sending trains "round the bridges" but this isn't ideal as you can imagine. Log in to reply |

Ok I see, thanks for the update. No I agree about all the infrastructure updates are impossible and very unreasonable to expect people to think this would all be updated free of charge. I’ve driven trains in this sim area since 2013 and I’ve always known the particular junction we are talking about has been there physically so I just presumed the timetables would work with the track layout. Thanks for the reply. Log in to reply |

Making even the simplest change to a sim can have unexpected knock-ons. Plus, for most of us developers this is a hobby and there are only so many hours available in a day. I'm afraid that some of my sims are years behind in being updated. (Story: I finally got round to converting Euston to work on the Loader. This *should* have been almost trivial since - I thought - there were no changes to make to the track layout, just deal with somethings that have changed in the Core Code in the N years since I wrote it. Right now I have 40 tickets open and another 44 resolved (admittedly, I've not had the time to fix things for a few weeks). If there can be 84 issues on a sim that didn't need any changes, imagine what it's like when Network Rail get involved as well.) Log in to reply |
