Hi everyone. I'm not a PC knowledgeable person and I'm also new to SimSig. I recently purchased the York simulation and, as far as I'm aware, have loaded it correctly onto my PC. Now, whenever I try to open the file, I get the message "this file contains an extension (.ssg) which is not recognized by Windows Media Player". My PC has Windows 7 Home Edition. Any help and advice would be very welcome. Thank you in advance.

Hi.

You don't need to open the .ssg file; just start the SimSig loader, select new game, then select York and then select your required timetable.

If the TT you want to play isn't in the list, report back.

Start-> All Programs-> SimSig-> SimSig Loader. All simulations are installed using the Loader.

Looking at your previous posts, you appear to have started and used the simulation previously? https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Forum/ThreadView/47009?postId=101963

The Loader is part of the System files download which is essential to run the sims. It's found here:
Home > Files > Official Software > Download first! System Files
Once that's installed the loader will be available in your applications and you should then be able to run York - and any others you buy/donate for

He needs to download the System Files first.
