Hi Everyone,
I hope someone can help me with this. Ive been trying to play multiplayer on SimSig and I don't get what I need to port forward, I know how to enter the port forwarding info into my router but I don't know what I enter e.g. IP addresses and ports.
Thanks,
Aaron

You only need to add port forwarding if you're hosting a game of your own, to join other people's sessions you won't need to do any messing around with your router

You need to find you local IP.

Two way to find that quickly.

1. through the loader on the server menu, your IP will be at the bottom. (final menu after selecting the sim you are going to play etc).
2. Open command prompt and type in "ipconfig" and you can find it under IPv4.

Input that data in your port forwarding options on your router with selected ports 50505 - 50509.
Save that.

Try running a host. the IP address that you post to the public isn't your local IP, you'll find that if you click your username on this SimSig website top right hand corner and select "what's my IP" from the drop down. that's what you give out for people to join your games.

Mines have the ports it both public and private.

Also select TCP/UDP. ensure that it is also enabled.

If you're having further issues, check your firewall settings too.

Ok, lets open Aston simulation as it's a freeware sim. open it on port 50505. You'll need to send me your IP address. Remember not your Local one.

Do you know which router do you have? It might help people provide advice.

Find your local IP.

Command prompt - type "ipconfig" look for IPv4. all you need are the last digits of that.

Use ports Start 50505
end 50510

for both.

protocol - TCP

and enable.

Once you have done this, find your network IP which you can get from the drop down on the SimSig site where your username is and then open up aston sim.

Once you have Aston sim open, the PM me your IP and I will try to connect.
