Delayed reporting of clearing point violations 10/04/2020 at 22:22 #125583

Using the default timetable, I had a clearing point violation reported at SN18 at 08:53 when 2N52 was leaving in the opposite direction!
In fact, the violation was noted when 2N59 arrived at 08:01 and I moved points SN20 too soon after the train had stopped (it seems a few seconds are necessary after the speed returns to zero for the system to register that the train has stopped).

It seems that clearing point violations are reported when the train in question passes the first signal after the violation has occurred. This may explain why there are some puzzling symptoms like https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Forum/PostView/118229
