Now that the resignalling of this area is complete it would be nice to possibly see a sim of this area including the sheringham line signalled from Trowse and the absolute block lines of Yarmouth and Lowestoft including the boxes of Brundall,Acle, Yarmouth, Cantley, Reedham,Reedham and Somerleyton swing bridges,Oulton Broad North and Lowestoft

I have long hoped that we will one day see Colchester ASC as a sim. Thing is that, as with Rugby SCC, you are covering a lot of route miles. Therefore you would probably need separate sims, say: Sim 'A' would have to cover the Norwich area which is, AFAIK, a panel in Colchester ASC. Sim 'B' would cover the Ipswich area which is also, TMK, a panel located in Colchester ASC. Sim 'C' to cover the Colchester, East Gate and Thorpe-le-Soken desks. These are computer workstations. Sim 'D' to cover Brundall, Lowestoft and Yarmouth And that would be for starters. However if Cambridge got updated there might be some means of covering the Breckland Line (Ely - Norwich). Anyway we will see. I would be keen on A, B and C for starters. Dave Log in to reply The following users said thank you: pebbens, Mikhail |

True Ajax. I mentioned the wish for a Colchester ASC sim on here in a separate thread: one person replied that they would pay double for it. I also forgot to say that the Breckland Line is under control of Cambridge: if you included that and added Colchester ASC you would have a very large chain. BMJ worked the western end of London Bridge through platforms, with the 311 lever London Bridge working the other end. The box was at the opposite end of the bridge over Borough High Street, so little more then 50 yards from the platform ends. It then handed off to Cannon Street which was just across the Thames, and to Metropolitan Junction who controlled the 3rd corner of the triangle. I don't suppose any train was under BMJ control for more than 3/4 mile max, and it had just 31 levers... one man could (just about) reach both ends of the frame without moving!DaveHarries in post 125737 said:Agreed. I have a memory that the three "anticlockwise" arms of the triangle were rather tight. If BMJ had a train for Cannon Street, who had a train to go up to Blackfriars, while Metropolitan Junction had a train for BMJ, it was possible for the tail of each train to foul the path for another one. At which point the entire service is [censored].

Agreed with the idea of introducing a Norfolk Branches sim, maybe with a seamphore-signalled AB era and the modern era?
