New facing crossover at Hertford North l/e!!! That may seem like a very minor change to some, but to me it is seriously appreciated as that missing caused a bit of a headache for me and some mates in our private multiplayer sessions. Suddenly I am genuinely considering a donation for the King's Cross simulation... Any views and / or opinions expressed by myself are from me personally and do not represent those of any company I either work for or am a consultant for. Just had a quick play. So far noticed the following tweaks: 1) Now get a phone call from the shunter before anything enters from Letchworth sidings. 2) DCF is now a line option for trains heading north from Hitchin 3) Three extra timing points between Stevenage and Hertford. 4) Facing crossover at Hertford North added. 5) Trains now able to enter via country end of Hornsey Depot. Just tested this and managed to get one out for first time ever! This isn’t a panacea as this will only work for the couple of trains booked to go to Alexandra Palace and reverse, but still a big improvement. Everything else will still have to enter via Bounds Green instead. 6) Platform numbers able to be added at Royston and Biggleswade, also Sandy added as a timing point. Wonder if this is a hint at things to come?!?! 7) Platform numbers able to be added at Highbury and Potters Bar, as per the real WTT. All in all some pretty worthwhile changes, so thanks to the team for this. As it happens I have a bit of spare time, so am going to set to work updating all the timetables from tomorrow, starting with the May 2020 and then December 2019. I’m already working on an overhauled December 2017, so that will then follow. Ultimately due to the similarities between May 18, December 18 and May 19 modifying these are very low priority, and probably won’t get done for some considerable time. Couple of small issues on KX from a little play just now: 1) There is no shunt signal on the sim from Alexandra Palace platform 1 to Hornsey Depot. If one attempts to set the route, the track goes from grey to white, but no signal clears and the train doesn’t move. 2) Letchworth doesn’t quite seem to work as designed. I have successfully routed out from Letchworth CS to Letchworth AD Line to Letchworth which works perfectly. However if I try to do the same in reverse it throws up a wrong signal cleared call. Meanwhile it *will* route into Letchworth reversing siding, but then won’t route back out again if the timing point is Letchworth to Letchworth AD Line to Letchworth. My understanding in the real world is *both* reception roads count as Letchworth AD Line (with the timetable stating road 1 or 2). Trains can either reverse vis both or access the sidings via both. Would there by any scope for when the shunter calls to request permission to enter that we can request whether the train enters via road 1 or road 2? 3) Hornsey reversing sidings - I believe the bottom road can take a 12-car train. I meant to raise this before but never got round to it! Notwithstanding the above, first impressions are this is a great enhancement on the previous version, so thanks for all the work, and for responding to the various whinges asking for updates! Speeds have been updated too! This used to really bug me, trains used to head most of the way into London at 125 which isnt the case IRL and caused frustration with Timetables and regulation. Well done all! Log in to reply |

So glad this has been been added in! Also the route from the Down Hertford into Gordon Hill platform 2 has been added in. Although that's quite a rare move it helps with reversals if anything is stuck in platform 1!
