"Bicester London Road Train drivers press a button to pass signals BT100 and BT200. No intervention is required from the signaller." (From the operating manual for Oxford) Attached is an image of 4V60 at Bicester LC requesting authority to proceed, why? I am totally preplexed! Whilst on the subject of this single line, would somebody explain the workings of the tokenless block in this simulation(see attached image). Of course, I have signalled the local service Oxford to Bicester Town and return with no problem but I don't know what purpose the right-hand side of the tokenless block diagram serves as all operations seem to be handled by the left-hand side of this diagram. In other words, I have yet to use the right-hand side of this tokenless block diagram. Perhaps I need enlightening! I know I haven't explained myself very well but I hope someone will understand! You need to turn the tokenless block instrument to 'Accept'- right click the arrow, and BT100 will clear. I'm not sure if there's a bug here, and the train shouldn't be able to approach from Claydon without being accepted, or if the tokenless block section only extends to Bicester Town. Terry in post 129756 said:"Bicester London RoadThe Oxford simulation contains a number of bugs that were notified when the simulation was released, logged in Mantis, but never fixed. Among them are inconsistencies on the single lines to Bicester and Morris Cowley that can produce a "Mexican standoff" with trains ending up facing each other with no ability to pass. In the simulation, the Bicester line seems to operate as two independent single line sections that meet at Bicester London Road, but if the single line instrument is set to accept a second train will pass the protecting signal at London Road, giving two trains in the same block section. However, the passenger services to and from Bicester Town and what have you could be operated without any involvement form Cladyon. In other words, if the train wasn't going any further than London Road Level Crossing it was solely Oxford's responsibility and did not need to be offered to or accepted by Claydon. I imagine simulating both of those could be tricky and may be the problem here? Log in to reply |
