1979-1980 Friday TT. 1M81 is scheduled to call 5 metres beyond the end of platform 3.

See attached image on how I routed 1M81. It reports wrong platform.

Loader 5.3, sim 4.3.

I'm pretty sure the FX@-5 was a workaround for Carlisle allowing the TT to work, The fixes made in the latest version, basically negated the need for this workaround.

I'm sure Postal or 58050 can confirm this.

At the moment I'm going through all my TTs & updating them. The Carlisle 79-80 TT is one of them & as I have now several hundred loco diagrams from various BR Depots covering the 1970s & 1980s/1990s I will be getting all the loco diagrams out in due course which cover the period of the timetable(incl. all the AC electric diagrams) & they will all be updated. There may well be several trains with different movemnets according to the actual loco diagrams of the period along with some traction changes on some trains too.

Nonetheless it shouldnt report wrong platform when stopped FX+5 on the correct platform?

Joe/Pascal I asked if the FX@-5 was a workaround for the older version of the sim.

I know it shouldnt report wrong platform, I never questioned that.

I didnt ask for chapter and verse about updating the TT with new loco diagrams etc.

I'll just keep my mouth shut in future.

After all you all seem to be brillant at taking threads totally off track

Sorry if you've somehow taken offence.

I interpreted your post as implying the stopping distance was somehow involved in causing the wrong platform and should be removed as a fix. Albert never questioned that it was wrong to be booked so.

Edit: fired up the TT - looks like its an overlength Motorail. The stopping point is intended to force the train up to the signal, not past it (always very easy to get +/- mixed up there) to overide the usual 18ish metre short default stopping location to ensure the train stops clear of CE344.

Meld has it exactly right. The original developer has stood down and Karl (headshot119) updated the sim to bring it into line with the current day SimSig standards. I have now sent him updated versions of the master TT and the 5 daily TTs and he will be pushing them out through the Check for Updates route in the next day or so.

I've run a fresh run of the Friday timetable. I can honestly sau I've never noticed half the trains that had this altered stopping point, but they never "overshot" the signal prior to this release, but now do.

I'll log this on Mantis as once the train passes the starting signal its location changes from Carlisle (Platform 3) to plain Carlisle and 4M51 exhibited identical behaviour.

It was at FX@-5 so off the platform which may affect things.

It was at FX@-5 so off the platform which may affect things.
Agreed. 31258 applies now. it still recognises where it is, so should surely recognise which platform of that location it has stopped at if it recognises the location at all.

Exactly the thinking. The -5 should take the train past the previous stopping point but stop it just short of the signal. IIRC the original default was about 6m in rear of the signal so not the usual distance.

1S54, also a Motorail, does not report wrong platform in P1 northbound. Seems to be specific to P3 southbound - perhaps because there are two routes you can take out of the platform.
