The sim says there is a Bicester to Oxford panel but the sim doesn't show where the actual boundary is compared to the clear boundary between North/South/ LUL/South and Banbury/North so not sure if its been put on Mantis but could it please?

Existing Mantis was that the Oxford branch area is on 'North' and that it is the duty box that should not be there. 17275 - shown as resolved in v3.7 Have added a note. As Bill says there is currently no separate Bicester to Oxford panel, there are two workstations at Marylebone: North and South. Bicester to Oxford is on the north although it being scaleable IECC the south signaller is perfectly capable of scrolling over to, say, Oxford Parkway and setting a route from their seat on their monitors. However, the CCTV camera for the level crossing and the associated controls are only on the north workstation What the future will bring for the OXD when East West Rail finish only time will tell. It was due to go into Rugby ROC, but with the reorganisation and the devolution it's now the wrong section. There is talk of it going into Marylebone in which case one day there might well be a separate workstation in Marylebone covering Bicester to Oxford, but it will do a little bit more besides that. It would be a tight fit to put another workstation in Marylebone IECC

Why not then remove the panel as it is on the simulation and have it come fully under the North signaller then?

That’s why Bill reopened the bug report on Mantis

I was not able to change the Mantis status to 'feedback' / '[new] question' or I would have. To close out for the OP and accepting there is no need to show the split on screen, might be worth adding something to the manual covering any behaviours when different players have North and Bicester - Oxford workstations in 2015/2016 eras. eg which workstation gets calls from which signals / crossings Log in to reply |

He added a note. You reopened it. In any case, there are several simulations with additional workstations so I'm leaving this flexibility in. I can understand if the former panel hasn't been taken but not if it has. Would it be possible for calls and slot requests to go to the Oxford to Bicester panel when it's been taken in MP mode at all? No idea how much coding would be needed? Log in to reply |
