Hi All Nothing major - I have a two screen set up with SimSig. When I used to click on a train's TRN, it would always display the pop up box on the left hand screen. I have just moved house and set everything up, and now it appears on the right hand screen. (The left hand screen is set as main display). Anyone know how to fix this? I had the same issue. I'm running Windows with multiple monitors. What I found to work for my setup was the following: Leave monitors off, switch on the computer so it starts booting. Then, only turn on the monitor I wanted the pop up box to be on. Log on to windows (assuming you have windows os). Once logged on with the desktop showing or SimSig open I then switched on the second monitor. Try this maybe? Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Jriver |

If you right click on a screen and select 'Screen Resolution', in the box that opens both screens are displayed and from there you can select which one you want to be your main monitor(default icon location and displaying the start bar). On my 4-screen setup, monitor 2 is my main monitor as it best suits my seating position.

Easiest way to select which monitors are in use is Windows+P, so use it to disable all but one monitor, set up SimSig, Win+P again and adjust. As to detection of whether a monitor's on, my Surface can normally handle this OK but sometimes needs help in the form of a complete monitor power down to the point that the caps are discharged before turning it back on again. Not all monitors implement such a feature - the ones I've seen so far just assume you're turning it off to save power & take a break if it's turned off with AC power still on. You probably need to change the monitor settings somehow (if at all possible) to change this behaviour. My monitor has no such setting. You'll indeed need to use the control panel or Windows-P (or simply unplug either power or data to the monitor!) if you don't want windows to show up there. Uou'd also need to use an interface that supports this (I imagine VGA isn't too clever) and a lead that has all the necessary pins connected.

I'm not sure you can get HDMI/DVI/DisplayPort cables that don't have all the pins connected. Log in to reply |
