Hi I noticed that if I hurriedly place certain class 1 trains onto line X instead of line W, an error will display stating "traction not suitable", and the driver will call in to request a route correction. Can you teach me what is going on in the real line, that causes this issue? Thank you. Log in to reply |

Not all of the lines on panel 3 have overhead power. The driver is phoning wrong route because he’s an electric powered train rather than a diesel powered train. There is a diagram in the manual that shows which lines have overhead AC installed Log in to reply |

Indeed, the first electrification at Edinburgh was only for the Berwick - Edinburgh - Carstairs - Glasgow 'IC' route, so was only through lines W and Z at Mound, then Haymarket 3&4, and off to Carstairs. So the middle tunnel (lines X and Y) and the west bays 12-18 were not wired until more recently. Splash screens 3 & 11 show this. Bill Log in to reply |
