Good evening all I want to edit a timetable and add in "built in" delays. So i have experimented with this doing a couple of ways, primarily editing a trains TT, and changing the "delay" in the individual trains Incident Control Panel. Both with override, and as per Service Options. Issue is, it wont ever save if i save the TT (which i guess makes sense), but that also applies if i save the simulation. Bug? What else could i try? I think the next thing would be changing each trains entry time, then saving the TT. But thats quite onerous! I would use the service options, but that also creates annoying phone calls (ha!). I just want trains to come onto the workstations late. Thanks Jamie Last edited: 29/10/2020 at 16:59 by Jay_G Reason: None given Log in to reply |

Anything in the incident control panel isn't saved, and this is intentional: it displays the randomly-generated delay imposed on the service, and allows single-game overrides to be specified. You could change the entry time, but this will only work if the new entry time is earlier than the first location- so you couldn't delay the entry time from 12:00 to 12:10 if the next timing point is 12:05. The only way I can think to do it is to set a train to enter at 00:01, and then use the 'Must appear X minutes after Y enters the area', where train Y is the train entering at 00:01 and X is the number of minutes after 00:01 you want the train to appear. Thank you. To be honest, that’s quite a bit of faffing about so I’ll probably leave it for now. A good suggestion for the sim then is to split up the train delay slide. have 1 for train entering workstation late, and another for train delay phonecalls whilst on the workstation. I quite enjoy sitting back and running a disrupted panel, but to get a decent level of disruption, you need to ramp the delays up, which means lots and lots of phone calls, and eventually you are left with nothing moving at all! The idea of allowing you to simulate delays entering (only) has been raised a few times over the years by various people, not much traction at this stage, but I hold out hope. https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Forum/ThreadView/41612 As an interim solution you can allow one train to enter and just not signal it for an hour or two and let them all bank up behind Log in to reply |
