If a train is told via the F2 menu to "Go non-stop through next station", and routed from S444 to S438, it will not call in with "scheduled to stop at harringay", but will instead perform the stop on the through line there.

That is correct, its an old sim and I know some older timetables use that position to stop trains.
I doubt that will be updated as many older TT will not work correctly.

That is not the issue, or what happens. If a train is booked to stop at Harringay and routed from S444 to S438, it will call in with "scheduled to stop at harringay", unless you use the F2 menu to go non-stop through Hornsey. The former is also the case for trains that are already timetabled non-stop at Hornsey.

From my programmer's perspective, it seems like maybe the F2 menu will override wrong route checks, but fails to check if that wrong route is actually the next station. While it should only override the wrong route call for Hornsey, it also incorrectly overrides the wrong route call for Harringay.

This bug only happens like this from S444. For S446 it's a lot different. Routing from 446 to 438, and using F2 non-stop, the train stops at S446 and its status becomes "stops at harringay"... but it does not actually call. It just gets stuck at the signal forever.
Save attached. 2J35 has been told to non-stop at Hornsey using F2, and is now stuck at S446.
After some more investigation, it seems the only way to get 2J35 moving is by pulling the route, which causes an ACOA, then setting the correct route via SL1. Then, 2J35 calls in to report the ACOA, and finally proceeds. It does correctly remember to skip Hornsey as it was previously told via the F2 list.

Mantis 32582 raised for the original issue with Signal 444, the relevant wrong route code is missing from this signal. (Any train booked to stand at Hornsey/Harringay on US2 or the Goods line should have 'through line stop' ticked.)

Using a test train, I've not been able to reproduce this. A train booked to call at both Hornsey and Harringay the train calls once to bypass Harringay and then continues as normal.

Interesting... I did forget to mention that the train had been waiting at the red for a little while already, so it was calling me. I then told it to go non-stop from F2, routed the train from 446 to 438, and answered the call with "wait 5 minutes for signal to clear", but I don't know in what order.

I also have a save from about 5 minutes before the incident, attached. I'm now trying to recreate my actions.

so from loading the save, in order, these are my actions
- tell train 2J35 to go non-stop using F2
- route 2J29 S446 > S420
- route 2J35 S448 > S446
- wait until 2J35 calls in at 446 with "waiting at red signal"
- route 2J35 S446 > S438
-> 2J35 status is now "stops at Harringay"
- answer phone call "wait 5"
-> 2J35 does not call with "wrong route", even after those 5 minutes

Attached a save of after executing those actions

Don’t know if this is relevant but I have a mandatory WTT for 1980/81 and crew changes for goods trains heading up towards Dalston and Temple Mills and beyond were carried out on the Finsbury Park platforms presumably because of route knowledge. This seems logical to me and I must admit that the timetables that I have do not show anything stopping on the main line at Harringay but only thing I can think of is early suburban services on their way to York Road and Moorgate.

The train phones in after 5 minutes for me (perhaps not to the second, but within 6 minutes certainly)

Even if it does, the initial phone call is wrong. The train is no longer waiting at a red signal, but instead has a wrong route set.
edit: after testing, it did now indeed phone "wrong route" after the 2 or 5 minute wait time selected in the red signal call. Point above still applies.

#32585 raised for the phone call not changing. This one is core code, and will occur anywhere where you clear for the wrong route with a train on the phone.
