I was doing some testing with up-to-date version of rugby North and Aston where I started at 04:45 with the default Groundhog day timetables when I quite quickly noticed that the first train from Rugby in the timetable, 4Q70, was duplicated by the Aston sim so that there were two trains with that headcode running in the simulation. The next train, 4Q17, could not get a slot to enter the Aston sim, because the indicator for a slot being requested never started flashing on the Aston side. The request was initiated by ARS on Rugby and a message about it did show on the Aston sim, but as mentioned, nothing else happened.

In many cases it's possible to grant a slot that has not yet been requested (although that may have unforeseen consequences). Did you try that already?

We're aware of this chaining issue already logged Mantis 27740. It seems to have been a long-standing issue.
