If S608's yellow aspect fails, but not red, it will flash between red-unlit, along with S612 flashing red-yellow. https://gyazo.com/7cfed974de05b05d6c5166757838ed9c Interestingly, this was not reported as an ACOA by any of the 5 trains that passed through during the failure. The route was left on auto to the slow the entire time. Log in to reply |

I've been able to reproduce this twice now when the Yellow aspect fails. Have reported to Mantis 32818 Last edited: 15/01/2021 at 18:09 by y10g9 Reason: Adding Mantis Number Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Dionysusnu |

is the ACOA not being reported considered the same bug, a separate bug or not a bug at all?

As ACOA's work normally for S612, for now it's all under a single ticket of S608 behaving oddly

This is a curious one. I haven't looked into the ACOA bit, but I can explain the rest. 612 and 608 have special controls on them, which have been verified by a signaller at Peterborough who also observed them happening. These are: * 612 does not show green when routed towards 608; * 608 does not clear until the approaching train has reached T0022 (the berth TC for 612) with 612 off; * 608 does not show green until the approaching train has passed 612. (These last two are because, apparently, 608 is visible to a train approach 612 and might cause a read-through.) So the scenario we have is: (1) Route set from 612, 612 at single yellow (and flashing yellows in rear), 608 red. (2) Train enters T0022. (3) 608 clears to single yellow and 612 to double. (4) 608 fails to light, so the lamp failure logic puts 612 back to red. (5) 608 drops back to red because 612 has not cleared. (6) 608 is now lit, so 612 clears to single yellow. (7) Return to step 3. Eventually the train passes 612 and 608 can clear to green (alight). I *suspect* the ACOA issue is because, if I recall correctly, ACOA is checked once per second but aspect controls are checked twice a second. So 612 is always showing yellow when the ACOA is checked. But I'd have to work through this to find out for sure. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Dionysusnu |

I believe the same bug happens at signal 382.
