I seem to having trouble getting a man picc timetable to install to my loader, can anyone help?

You put the downloaded timetable in the SimSig timetable folder in the public documents folder (normally C:\Users\Public\Documents\SimSig\Timetables\%simname%)* * Based on Windows 7 PC's may differ for other versions of windows If the timetable came in an Zip file you will need to extract the *.WTT first Last edited: 19/06/2018 at 15:05 by MarkC Reason: None given Log in to reply The following users said thank you: markriley128, 1xuo |

I've got a similar issue, I'm trying to add new timetables to Saltley, there a three in the Timetable folder but only one, the default include one is showing up. Any ideas?

Any ideas?If any of the TTs are in the old .WTT/.WTR format (rather than the current .WTT only format) they do not show in the loader window. Well I have had the same problem since the Loader was invented chiefly due to the fact that you can store the TTs in at least three separate places in your files structure. You can blame Windows for the difficulty. I have a mixture of simulations in these places and I daren't move them for fear of mucking it all up. I eventually find the correct place for each simulation by a combination of searches in the files structure.

However as a norm the system files put all sims and TTs in sub-folders in one location unless you deliberately override the default to put one or more sims elsewhere. Of course you then have to edit the "file locations" option in the loader so that you can see the sims. Having said that, you may have older .exe simulations elsewhere as a historic anomaly but you have to take positive action to put the loader sims anywhere but the single default location. What did you do when you were first installing the loader to cause the higgledy-piggledy file structure? Well your guess is as good as mine. The fact is I have three separate locations for the newer sims and the Loader must have allowed me to do that when I first stored them. In my opinion the loader should have been set up for one location only and only one location. Give someone too much information and its bound to go pear shaped.

For some reason that default has been deliberately or inadvertently overridden on your machine. You either find this situation comfortable (in which case there isn't really any need for the complaining posts) or you find it uncomfortable. If that is the case there are enough people round these parts with the knowledge to help you put things back to the default position on your machine if you want to ask for their assistance. I was one of the people who needed the option of bespoke locations because I used to have a job with a lot of travelling. I wasn't going to carry two laptops round with me and my work laptop was locked down in various respects so I needed the bespoke location if I was going to have the option of using SimSig while I was spending evenings and nights stuck in hotel rooms. Im not really complaining but I am just trying to explain how one person with little knowledge got my machine to store in various locations in my machine. If you look in the loader you will see the button labelled "Folder Options". This may be the source of the problem. You can click one or two or three or four. What affect this has on the storing locations ? You tell me. If that option did not exist then I would assume you could only truly store in one location. Am I the only person with this problem ? Again I am not complaining but I do find it uncomfortable because it is not an elegant way of storing information on my machine. If you're unsure where your timetables are you can always check via open the simulation without a timetable, going in Timetable -> Open (Merge with current); and that should open the folder where timetables are. You can then just navigate there via File Explorer (or whatever else if you're not using Windows) and copy the timetables there.

Honestly, as an outsider I would consider that response perfectly reasonable. If you read through the previous threads, it's unclear what the OP wishes as a response - he's not fully answering the questions posed by the people who are trying to help him, so it's fully understandable that after a while it simply gets annoying to have to keep repeating oneself.
