Train reversing not bringing back new headcode 07/02/2021 at 16:55 #137068

More Heart of Wales problems... perhaps something very simple, perhaps not.

Put simply, on the new timetable I am now testing: train 2V02 arrives at Llandrindod DN platform and terminates at 06:11, then forms 2M04, departing back in the UP direction from the DN platform at 06:18, passing 2V06 at Knighton at 06:54.
When 2M04 departs (or receives token), its headcode does not move into the Knighton UP platform berth, and when it arrives at Knighton, the message appears as shown in the screenshot.
Do I need to specify something different in the stopping position of the incoming 2V02? There is not really time to shunt at the Llanwrtyd end into the UP platform, and I don't think the locations exist anyway to do that?
Any help gladly appreciated (as otherwise the timetable is working well so far!)

P.S I have done similar moves (starting train back from the 'wrong direction' platform on the Cardiff Valleys sim branch at Ystrad Rhondda) and it worked fine there with the headcode moving berths.

It looks like there's an issue with that berth step, for now you'll just have to remember to manually interpose the headcode at Knighton and delete the headcode from Llandrindod.

I've raised Mantis 32991 to fix it in a future update.

Thanks for that.

I will add an instruction in the working and timetable notes to do that until fixed.

Glad it wasn't me just having a senior moment.

Just an update: the same thing happens with reversal at Llanwrtyd as well. FYI.

Cheers.

Thanks I've updated the ticket to check all of the steps along the HOWL.

Shouldn't the driver of a train know their identity when making a phonecall even when the TD did nto step up?

No as the phone call data in the sim in this case is generated from the train describer data.

It has the secondary effect of forcing the Signaller to keep on top of the TDs for awareness of where the trains actually are.

I don't understand why you do that. The driver won't know what's in the berth; they *will* know the ID on their job sheet.
