Hi,

In 2016 era, any train timetabled to pass at Plumpton UGL and not routed in and out of the loop, won't step up its TT.

Plumpton UGL should not be timed for trains not using the loop. I couldn't see anything in the manual so thought I'd note it here.

Don't know where your getting your TT data from but I can guess its not the most reliable source.

Looking at the 2021 WTTs the only two trains (6J37 & 6A52) that are timed at Plumpton UGL are booked to call there for other services to pass. There is nothing booked through with a passing time.

http://www.charlwoodhouse.co.uk/rail/liverail/full/PLPNUGL/28/06/21 shows the services booked to call in there today so those three should be the only trains timetabled at the loop - nothing else needs it in its schedule

Passed the age to be doing 'Spoon Feeding' !!!

Even so, sounds like it should either be a wrong route or still step up the TT.

No it shouldnt - the sim is fine if you provide it with the correct data.

Adding Plumpton UGL in a passenger schedule is not providing the sim with the correct data

Its not a wrong route call or need to step up TT, the location should not be used

Passed the age to be doing 'Spoon Feeding' !!!

The only issue with the ML not recognising the loop as a location and not stepping it might occur with the proposals to alter how set down is handled in the future?

Signaller decides to run the train early, but the driver will call wrong route in this case, whereas if the ML was also a platform, then he would take the greens without question

I agree however Plumpton isn't needed if it isn't booked to be used.

There is indeed some discrepancy here between loops that are a timing point and loops that aren't (Shap up loop shows the same phenomenon.)

Does it make any difference to a driver in real life? As in, would a real driver be more likely to call a signaller for an explanation if there is an unexpected move at a loop that isn't a timing point?

Either the driver
- Expects to be routed through Plumpton UGL because the location is included, and therefore calls a wrong route
- Accepts to pass Plumpton UGL on ML, in which case the TT should step.

The third scenario doesn't make sense:
- The driver expects to be routed into Plumpton UGL, and when he isn't, he loses his mind and forgets all about his timetable at the next locations he is booked to pass.
