See the attached report on BBC News on a steam locomotive "accident" in a flooded Derbyshire quarry. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-58271871 The locomotive seems to be a composite of several types, a BR Standard tender, Stanier firebox, skirts like Stanier's Turbomotive. Does anyone have any other information? Log in to reply |

I do believe that is where they are filming Mission Impossible 7. Further dramatic pictures can be found if you google todays Mail online. Last edited: 21/08/2021 at 11:48 by northroad Reason: Link added for pictures Log in to reply |

Thanks to my friends in CRAG - Capital Rail Action Group - in Edinburgh, I have a bit more information: https://www.railadvent.co.uk/2021/04/mission-impossible-7-tom-cruise-and-steam-locomotive-mockup-head-to-the-north-yorkshire-moors-railway.html So the BR Standard tender and the Stanier firebox were red herrings, as were the skirts reminiscent of Turbomotive. When you are using the link button, you need to overwrite the "example.com" text with the URL of your link rather than appending your URL after the default text. You then have to enter text of your choice between the closing bracket (]) after the URL and before the next opening bracket ([). I think this is how your link should work (with the URL repeated as text to display): https://www.railadvent.co.uk/2021/04/mission-impossible-7-tom-cruise-and-steam-locomotive-mockup-head-to-the-north-yorkshire-moors-railway.html. Postal and Peter Bennet - I hate 404s too, and thank you both for sorting out my postings.
