ARS sometimes tries to hold trains at VL19 to give priority to a train arriving from Walthamstow. However the points beyond VL19 remain locked, even if you manually cancel VL22B. The result is that nothing moves until you manually set the route from VL19, allowing the 'wrong' train into SS P5 first.

I agree with madaboutrains, although I'm not sure draw-up is quite the right word. I very much suspect that VL22 lever would not be able to be normalised with a train standing at VL19 signal and that will hold the mechanical locking on VL17 points lever, which is very much in keeping with what I've seen of LU signalling generally. The sim (thanks for the link there madaboutrains, I've been looking for that, has it only recently come back up?) seems to corroborate this, although the real nuts and bolts of the system are a bit above my pay grade. I think TG delta track circuit releases VL22 lever to move normal but I could be wrong. Log in to reply |
