Am I correct in that there were some track alterations at Glasgow Queen Street not that long ago? Something that can be a bit frustrating when playing the sim is that trains passing through the tunnel en-route to the station are held at CQ57 until a route can be set from CQ59. In the screenshot you can see that 2W70 is being held at CQ57. Is this still the case in real life and if so, what is the logic behind it?  Post has attachments. Log in to view them. The additional controls on CQ57 signal negate the need for drivers to make the difficult stop at CQ59 unless necessary. Log in to reply |

Simply not safe to leave 7 if a train coming down the hill is not stopped at 59 or back beyond 57. Log in to reply |

Thank you for your replies Bill and Postal. I can now see what the issues are in the tunnel and yes, I can use the "opposite" route to the lower platforms but for some reason I don't really take advantage of this facility, probably because I Fairly often forget about it.
