Trains will not enter if a train with that UID is already in the simulation. However, this does not delay the "permission to enter" calls from shunters, meaning permission is granted and the train then does not enter. This is confusing, the call should only be made if the train is actually ready and will enter.

Do you perhaps have an example of this? Simulation, Timetable, provide a .SSG rather than a .WTT? Was it a user based TT or one that was provided with the simulation?

Took me just 1 minute to reproduce.. The first TEST calls, enters, and goes happily on its way. Shortly after, another call is made, for the second TEST. You can grant permission, but it will never enter unless the first TEST is removed or exits the simulation. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Log in to reply |

Give me a bit, and I'll test if this also happens when the two entry points are not the same - which is a realistic possibility for a freight that loads/unloads at a terminal.

Indeed, same issue even if the entry points are different. As said, this is a realistic possibility if a train were to travel through a terminal, like in this case Bounds Green Depot. All permission to enter calls are one minute in advance, and the train always enters after that. Is it consistent if in an edge case, it will instead take an undefined amount of time, possibly up to an hour? Removing that strict 1 minute sounds like a great plan.
