In the manual it states 'Automatic Code Insertion (ACI ) is provided at all stations where trains typically terminate and selected other locations.' While this applies at Bolton, it only seems Platform 5 doesn't have any ACI input and have to manually put the trains headcode in place when trains terminate for form another service.
