In the 2021 Era on the sim Tuxford GSC is shown on the sim but isn't workable via a GF. They are/were definitely workable in the 2021 era. Similarly Grove Road GSC shouldn't exist in this era, but is showing on the sim and also has a GF on the sim. Also Peascliffe and Ranskill should have workable emergency crossovers I would have thought. Last edited: 11/03/2022 at 09:37 by chrisdmadd Reason: None given Log in to reply |

I'll check. Regarding the emergency crossovers, as the manual says they're simulated but not available for scheduled moves. I was told by a signaller that they weren't in normal use. SimSig Boss Log in to reply The following user said thank you: chrisdmadd |

Hi Geoff, I guess for SimSig and it’s uses you wouldn’t really use them unless you wanted to simulate Single Line Working. The crossovers that are there today would certainly only be used for those scenarios but they do get used and I’ve used the one at Tuxford myself which is what drew me to noticing the Gamston one definitely isnt there. The following are controlled from the ground or gate boxes. Ranskill GB Tuxford GSC Carlton GB Claypole GB Peascliff GSC Log in to reply The following user said thank you: GeoffM |

That list is correct, Grove road cross overs have been removed now. However, the cross overs are only ever used during engineering possessions or during degraded working. Neither of which would work in SimSig so there is no need for them to be modelled.

On Doncaster south Carlton to Claypole through Newark on the down line works as expected. Also Tuxford on older eras. Grove Road does not work OK, the GF comes up but the train refuses to proceed. 'Points set against train' at the facing crossover. Maybe bug ? # 35868 advised Several other sims also support wrong line working (not just SIMBIDS or Dawlish) so will allow SLW to be implemented around overnight engineering trains. Provides some entertainment for the user in the quiet night hours.
