Does anybody know the length of the Bedford Carriage Washer?

I just sent 5G18 into it via the "Button" indicted on the screenshot and it overhung points P924B preventing 1A73 from leaving platform 1. 5G18 is a Class 319 consisting of 8 cars.
This all happened shortly before 21:20:00 so I have attached the 21:10:00 save.

In the meantime, I'm going to re-run the sim from the 21:10:00 save and use the other via button hoping that I can then release 1A73 from P1

Technical stuff:
OS: Windows 10 Home 64bit
Loader: SimSig Loader version 5.19; Sim: Simulation West Hampstead; data version 1.11

I havent currently got time to run the save so apologies if I'm miles off.

The washer will hold an 8 car unit. Im wondering if there's already one on the washer road that you've put it on top of? Its quite easy to do so when its busy at bedford.

Long enough for a 12-car.

Not long enough for 5G96 (8-car), 5G48 (4-car), plus 5G18 (8-car). Trains are a bit shy so it's better to let them go in and come back out again before sending another in for a wash.

Yeah 12, you can fit one 4car and one 8car in there but that's it. Not sure where the actual wash plant is positioned - I would suspect the wash is designed for one movement at a time.

Yes. It would appear that this is what I have done.

See Geoff's post above.

Thanks Geoff.

After reading your post I checked the Train list and sure enough 5G96 is already in there. I usually put a sticky note with the TD of a train that's in there and one for its departure time, but on this occasion I completely forgot.

In case you had not noticed, you can collar exit arrows just like signals.

Well lets put it like this as I live about 500 yards from the place & every time I walk over Ford End Road Bridge I get a clear view of it. The carriage washer line goes all the way to the buffer stops which is next to the river bridge before you get to Bedford South Jn. In the days of a Cl.319s[like in my 1991 WH TT you can fit an 8 car unit in there & a 4 car unit on top of it. Today however they have 8 & 12 car Cl.700 units & the washer line holds a 12 car set quite comfortably. The trailing carriage of a 12 car set is usually sat in the washer itself. So whatever the length is of a 12 car Cl.700 you'd fit it in no problem.
