Look at the labels which pop up on the signals. Failing that read the manual!

More information would be very handy on this situation at the moment, like a version / of the simulation that is being run. Also, have you tried the conditions for the ground frame to release? Log in to reply |

Perhaps I can help the questioner by suggesting the question needs expanding a little? All the groundframes "work": I've just tried all of them, got them released, operated the point locks and points, etc. But, unlike other recent sims, there are no signals associated with the ground frames, so it's not immediately clear how to get trains in and out of them. I'm not sure what the answer is, but suspect it might be something as simple as they haven't been fully implemented in this version? Rob Log in to reply |

ok, maybe so... The information that would be helpfull for the answering of the question that has been asked would be the likes of what simulation / ground frame is being reffered too. After this, then I will be able to give a reason behind what's happening. Also, some GF's also don't need to have the protecting signals as some others do. Thanks. Log in to reply |

I guessed because the OP had posted in South Humberside sub-foum that it referred to South Humberside. Only a hunch, mind ;) But yeah, more details are always useful when trying to help people out. Rob Log in to reply |

The Groundframe numbers are gf82 and gf83 at west burton power station, with the other sims with goundframes when you pull the levers the points reverse but with this sim they don't is that the norm from this sim?

The GFs work OK, it's just that the GF points are not displayed on the panel, as on the real one.

I can confirm this, having just ran a test loco out of Barnetby GF, onto the main line, and back in again. My only query is that I'm not sure the FPLs on the frames are being simluated correctly. I would expect the sequence at Barnetby before a train moved over it to be: 1 rev, 2 rev, 3 rev, 2 normal - i.e. you lock the FPL again *before* the movement. Otherwise there's little point in having an FPL! Rob Log in to reply |

I must be out of practice, but how do you work the Ground Frames?

Have you read the manual page on GFs, and the link to Ground Frames?

If anyone knows if the FPL is used in a different way than as simulated then please let me know.
