In the image shown 2Y51 is stopped at Long Buckby but the signal before the station is still green? 2Y51 is a 4/350 so should fit on the entire platform. Log in to reply |

RYPK track circuit (Axle counter in real life I think) is a combined berth and overlap track circuit. RY1069 won't revert until RYPL track circuit is occupied by a train. You only notice it here because there is a station ahead of the signal, but before the end of the overlap. One example you can see from a platform, and I'm sure there are many more, if you stand at Acton Bridge station and look north towards Weaver Junction you can see WD163 signal, as a 4 car 350 passes it, you'll see it still showing a proceed aspect with the whole train beyond the signal, this is the same thing but without the station stop. "Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer Log in to reply |

Quick tip, if you want to share a YouTube video starting at a time position: Click "Start at 5:00" in the share dialog, or manually add &t=300 to the URL from the top of your browser, where 300 is the time in seconds. So the video of Dawlish becomes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1m8owkmCh4&t=300 with the manual way, or the shortened link https://youtu.be/O1m8owkmCh4?t=300 by using the share dialog option.

That's why there's a rule that drivers passing a signal at red must drive on sight until passing *two* clear signals. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: sunocske |
