As I can't see the length of this loop anywhere in the relevant section of the manual, would anybody be able to furnish me with this information? Thanks. Bugsy. Everything that you make will be useful - providing it's made of chocolate. Log in to reply |

From what I can remember its just under one mile long the UPS with OHLE Neutral Section around the middle at 28Mi/16Ch covering all lines UPF/UPS/DP. Without digging notes I believe its around [920MTR/3018Ft] with that the full length HOBC at 820m fits in nicely with room to spare.

I had a 600-odd mt. train bound for Bushbury Jn. which was delaying the train behind it. As I didn't know if it would fit into the Penkridge loop, I abandoned its tt and sent it into the Goods loop at Stafford station where it came to rest at shunt signal LS1296. I then reversed it onto the Down Slow and when it had passed shunt signal SC1302 I reversed it again, reinstated the tt. and sent it on towards Bushbury Jn. Quite a bit of faffing around I know, but at least I achieved my objective which was to get it out of the way of the other train Playing this timetable again with the Colwich to Stone route again unavailable and the failures set higher. Will send that freight into the Penkridge loop this time though Great fun Everything that you make will be useful - providing it's made of chocolate. Log in to reply |
