From Ashton Moss Jn to Baugley Fold Jn, the overlap symbol for BF20 at Baugley Fold Jn on the Up Ashton, as a preceding train clears the track, it does not release the Block Indicators. Is there a reason for this? Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Log in to reply |

Baguley Fold signaller needs to observe tail lamp so TOOS can't be given until train passes the box. AFAIK there wasn't a tail lamp camera provided.

AFAIK there wasn't a tail lamp camera provided. As an addendum to this, whenever I run a sim with AB, even though the TOS roundel may flash once a train has cleared the overlap TC beyond the Home signal, I don't send TOS until the train has passed where I know the box to be in real life, to simulate observing the tail lamp, unless the section is track circuited throughout and conditions permit.
