Just found out about SimSig by a friend doing a stream on YouTube.

Registered and got on OK But my immediate question concerns getting other stations than those supplied.

Are there any real easy ones, as anopener, and how do I get it?

If not how do I download those that people have contributed already?

Thanks for listening.

Hi,

If you have followed the installation instructions - see here - then you should have all the simulations that are available. If not then I suggest you read through as there's loads of information as to how it works.

Hey, welcome to SimSig!

SimSig comes with a bunch of "simulations", each one represents a real or semifictional signalling centre. Click "Start new simulation" and you'll see a list (screenshot below).

The ones with a green signal are free / donationware - the ones which are yellow are payware, and the good folks here typically come up with a few new ones each year. (I've paid for Birmingham New Street and Chester so they come up in green for me now.)

Each simulation comes with at least one timetable, and you can download more community-made timetables from this site - it's a bit of a trek: "Downloads > Browse Downloads > User-contributed > Timetables" and then the name of the sim you want timetables for. You can also make your own timetables... but it is a lot of work!

Royston is the classic introductory sim but once you know the basics, you could try Aston - that's probably the next step up in complexity. Beyond that - Brighton maybe? These are all free / donationware.

Royston also has a tutorial you can follow to get you started; https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Wiki/Show?page=simulations:royston:roystontutor#get_a_signal_map
