Decided to have a go at the Derby sim despite its faults that were mentioned in the Derby forum section, so had a go on the 15th October 2009 WTT.

I noticed that the points, signals and tracks are covered in yellow, red and blue patches on it as seen here.

The points, signals and tracks as seen in the picture are also shown in other wtts such as 2017 Blockade, May 2022 Covid, Winter 92, etc, etc.

So, is the yellow, red and blue patches permanently on all these sims?

How do I free up or remove the yellow, red and blue patches..?

Sorry for calling the coloured sections patches as didn't have a name in mind what to type in

Thanks

Alex

That sim has had a complete overhaul & is currently under test. I've written a Derby summer 1987 timetable for the new version & pretty much all the issues that were on the version you are running have been fixed. So it's a case of waiting for the new sm version to be publically released along with some new timetables to run on it. I'm sure you'll find the new & improved version of the sim well worth the wait.

Does that mean the wtts as currently in the downloads section and preset wtts are doable in new version?

There are no guarantees that any TTs in the user download section will fully work, it is down to the relevant TT authors to update the TT.

The default 2009 TT has been completely rebuilt from scratch and refreshed at the same time. A 2015 is in development, which will follow after testing

Returning to the main question, the yellow blocks are reminders. To remove, click the 'reminder' button next to the clock and right click the point end. The blue marks indicate that the point has been keyed and can be removed by left or right clicking after the reminder has been removed.

On the released version of Derby, the reminders are applied by default in the later eras as the power station had closed. If I remember rightly they're not applied in the earliest era.

I appreciate the 2009 TT has been completely rebuilt for obvious reasons and I look forward to Derby being released when it's ready but with regards to the simulation in question, was it merely a like for like rebuilt but fixing all the bugs or is the case that the SimSig team has done that as well as offer the 2018 post remodelling era?

The simulation has not been rebuilt. It has been receivng updates to fix issues which were previously reported and issues which have been identified during the retesting. This does include some redrawing of the sim, but not all of it. The simulation covers the same eras that the existing derby simulates, although 2 of the eras have been combined into 1.

If the post Derby remoldeling was to be simulated, this is likely to become its own simulation due to the large amount of track changes that have taken place

That's fine, I guess with Derby PSB now closed and replaced with Derby Rail Operating Centre/East Midlands ROC that a rebuilt post 2018 Derby would be on the size of Three Bridges?

Anyway, I look forward to seeing the revised and fixed version.

The station closed in 2003 and has been demolished so the track is O.O.U

More likely done by links or by desks, similar to Leeds NW, Ardsley, east/west, York and Sheffield which are all part of York ROC.

EMCC controls the former Leicester PSB area, former trent PSB area plus Chesterfield and the former Derby PSB area (among others) which would likely all be seperate and chainable.
