I can't remember if I've reported this before, but there is an issue with Chaining connections to Doncaster South. I've had various small issues before. This common theme is signalling across the two doesn't remain fluid. In this case, signalling on Peterborough is not replicated correctly on Donny South; I've cleared signal P612 at Stoke Junction which is showing a green aspect but on Doncaster South P612 is showing as Red with Double Yellow signals leading up to it. I've cancelled and reset P612 a number of times with the same result. I've posted the two saves. First one Peterborough and the Second one Doncaster South. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Interesting though that the signal aspects do show the correct aspect for the Down services as I've just tried to do the same as the above poster and I get the same issue with the signalling aspects. The problem seems to go away as the train passes SD8 and heads for SD4. My suspicion is something in the Doncaster data, but I'll have to look and see; I'm not familiar with it. Log in to reply |

Aha! In the Donny South data, D2 can't show an aspect better than single yellow unless there's a train description in one of signals D2, D4B, D4, or D6B. I don't know why. Possibly it's an attempt to simulate the boundary when chaining isn't in use: this simulates P612 clearing as a train approaches. If so, it should have been disabled when chained to Peterborough.
