Been getting through the timetable for 2009-10-15 WTT Exeter, gotten to 1400hrs and 2 5A87s left Goodrington, and then formed two separate 1A87s towards PAD. I can't obviously delete the train from tracking as it's two separate blocks apart, but i wonder if they were supposed to join although looking on the train description, it's a 2+8 HST. Anything i could do about this other than restart from an earlier snapshot and see if it happens again? T.I.A Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Log in to reply |

Could youn provide an earlier .ssg before 5A87 makes it's first move into the CS? The rules regarding 5A87 seem intact and correct initially. How to report an issue: www.SimSig.co.uk/Wiki/Show?page=usertrack:reportanissue Log in to reply |

I only have one of it at 1400 within goodrington or 2hrs earlier, i'll run it through until before 1/5A87 reaches goodrington to show it through.

What sim time did you initially start the sim, and did you use seeding?

I started at 1200 hrs before the issue occurred, then saving and exiting after the train(s) left Paignton at roughly 14:20

Simply, you can F2, right click the second train end scroll down to extreme measures and remove the train. If you've custom selected 1200 as the start time on the TT, then you will run the risk of issues arrising as previous trains where rules tie into won't be in sim. for example, tie-ups. There's dedicated seeding options for this TT. Those are 0000 with seeding, 0445 with seeding and 1400 with seeding. These TT's are created to ensure that at the start time of the sim, all the other trains left to enter will do so correctly (especially if they have rules attatched to them). If you can provide the saves that you do have, just out of curiosty to see what has gone wrong with the two trains showing up, that would be handy. It's not a problem if it's a couple of hours from the problem, the train that forms 5A87 enters at 1219, so that's handy to see that happen etc. Cheers Craig How to report an issue: www.SimSig.co.uk/Wiki/Show?page=usertrack:reportanissue Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Alex's Mind |

Hap in post 152270 said:Simply, you can F2, right click the second train end scroll down to extreme measures and remove the train. There is one possibility within the TT that both variants of 5A87 would enter due to the way that the rules are set up. 5A87/$P14186B is booked to enter at 14:05 or 8 minutes after 5A87/$P14186A leaves the area so it will enter at the later of those two options. 5A87/$P14186S is ruled not to run if 5A87/$P14186A runs. If there has been some perturbation and 1C09/P10321 does not arrive at Paignton until later than 14:05 then 5A87/$P14186A has not run and 5A87/$P14186S will enter, followed by 5A87/$P14186B in due course after 5A78/$P14186A has been formed and run. Probably not the cause in this case but a potential flaw in the TT. 5A87/$P14186S is in the TT so that there is an ECS working from Goodrington into Paignton after a start with the 14:00 seed group. To cover all of the potential bases the rule governing the entry of 5A87/$P14186S would need to be written to enter 0 minutes after one of the uniquely identified 14:00 seeds like 1M93/P20610S rather than be linked to something which could be late running and not triggering the rule. It it was, this would explain the cause of the issue. I've changed the Rule governing the entry of 5A87/$P14186S as suggested by Postal. A new version of the timetable will appear in due course. attached are 3 saves from around that time, i believe the inbound service which formed 5A87 enters after the 1247 save, but i've provided the 1200 save just to see if any problems with that save caused the next save to carry issues with it
