Many of you know Chris Law, aka @Chrisrail, possibly even played some of his timetables. I don't know the specifics of what exactly happened but he is critically ill in ICU. I'm sure you'll join us in wishing him the very best and that he is at least as comfortable as he can be in such circumstances.

Best Wishes to Chris and family.
I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

Sadly Chris passed away earlier this evening, quickly and peacefully according to his partner.

Chris has been part of the SimSig community for a long time, appearing at many meets, submitting several timetables, testing, passing on information etc. He liked his real ale, sports, and, of course, railways.

He will be missed.

If we wish to make any tribute as the SimSig community when Chris is laid to rest I will gladly add my contribution.

Was very sorry to hear this news, I'd heard earlier in the week he wasn't well.
Chris was a real help with my early timetable efforts for Simsig particularly with the freight consists.

I'm sure all at The Brunswick will be raising glasses to him.
RIP Chris.

Really sad to hear this. May he rest in peace, and may his partner find some comfort in knowing the regard in which Chris was held.

Hard to say after losing a family member and now a good friend. I was told that he wasn't well earlier this week, Chris was a valued member of SimSig, always going out the way to assist and help people with consists and timetables. He even battled to get hold of LNW/WMT LTP lists for me so I could complete my timetables for the chain I'm working on. My condolences are with Chris and his family at this tough time. RIP Chris.

I was so saddened to hear of Chris's illness and now his passing.

Chris was a lovely bloke and a great mate. Whenever I came down to Derby to 'tick' some Ales, he would always meet me in the Brunswick for a few and chat 'SimSig stuff' and help each other with any issues with our timetable planning etc.

On a recent visit he had to Newcastle with "Caroline" he invited me in for a look around, and gave me a few souvenirs to boot !

A lovely guy and a proud Yorkshireman who I will miss emensely.

Cheers Chris, it was a cracking ride !!

I’m heartbroken. Chris was a really good friend. We had a lot of laughs and I tested a lot of timetables for him.

I’m really speechless right now. :’-(
