West Hampstead TD not stepping on Moorgate branch & Signalling issues 07/12/2023 at 20:57 #154652 | |

I am writting a timetable for the West hHampstead sim in the 1985 era and when running initial tests of the TT I have found that the TDs for trains are not stepping correctly on the Moorgate line. Up trains are leaving their TD at Carlton Road Junction while down trains are leaving them at Farringdon. Is this a known issue with the simulation or am I doing something wrong with my timetable? Also there appears to be an issue with signal 420 (Kentish Town Plat 1 Starter) clearing to yellow with a train in the next track circuit and double yellow with 416 at red. Subsiquently 416, 414 & 415 have all both cleared to Green with a train in the section ahead. Annoyingly my PC isn't letting me take screenshots right now. Can you provide the technical info (Help-> About-> Technical info) for the game you're running, and any more detailed steps on what you were doing when these issues happened? Or a save game with signals displaying the wrong aspect? I've run some trains from the Up Slow at West Hampstead through to Moorgate and vice-versa and haven't observed anything unusual. This isn't the sort of thing that can happen because of a timetable error. I'm wondering if your copy of the sim is corrupt. Can you please close all SimSig windows, delete the file WestHampstead.sim (which on my laptop is in C:\Users\Public\Documents\SimSig\Simulations), and then restart the Loader so that it re-fetches the file from the server. Are you using something like Wine or is this a Windows computer? Log in to reply |

I am using a windows machine, I have now tried deleteing and reinstaling the sim and the issue persists. I have attached a save game to this post where 2A27 has just departed Kentish Town (where it spawned) and has left it's TD in the platform and 420 has cleared to single yellow with it in section. The technical information provided by the sim is as follows: OS: Windows 10 Home 64bit Loader: SimSig Loader version 5.28; Sim: Simulation West Hampstead; data version 1.16 License: Dynamic license in use TT: WHD 1985 BedPan v0.4 with MV v0.0.0 TT filename: WHD 1985 BedPan v0.4 with MV.WTT TT merged: False Sim upgrade: False Loader upgrade: False Save reloaded: False NEASY active at start NNORMAL choice 1 NHARD choice 2 NERA1980 active at start NSIMERA active at start NAUTO active at start NAUTOSELECT active at start NTORR active at start NTORRON active at start Post has attachments. Thanks for the data and the saved game- managed to work out the problem, which is quite an 'interesting' one! It looks like the 'Set main routes in auto mode' start-up option isn't correctly set up in the 1985 era, and so the sim sets routes up to signals which don't exist in the 1985 era- for example, you can see 415 has a route set only part way to 391 between Farringdon and King's Cross; the route has been set to 389 which doesn't exist in that era. Simple work-around is to start a new simulation without selecting that option on start-up, and it should work fine. Issue logged as Mantis 39937 to fix. thank you very much for the help, I was presuming it was somehow connected to the different eras of the sim
