Hello, I've just submitted for approval a June 2024 timetable for the East Coastway simulation. Some fiction has been required to accommodate freight services. If there are any errors please let me know on this thread. Hope you enjoy! Log in to reply The following user said thank you: traindriver17 |

It will be interesting to see how the original signalling copes with a completely up to date timetable Paul You have to get a red before you can get any other colour Log in to reply |

Hi traindriver17, thanks for flagging this. I have seen the error - 2C18 should be part of the 10:00 seed rather than the timetable start. I've corrected this for the next time I update the file - which won't be too long.

1F01 is shown to depart Eastbourne plat 1 but blocks in 5F94 but should be plat 2 ahead of 2D02? 5F01 replatformed to plat 3 Last edited: 27/05/2024 at 16:34 by traindriver17 Reason: None given Log in to reply |

The platform allocations at Eastbourne have not been changed from what is planned. It may be that because 5U50 is booked to leave Eastbourne Carriage Sidings at 01:08 but doesn't arrive into Eastbourne until 01:30. If this service is run early it then causes issues with trains being in the wrong order as 5F71 is booked to arrive into Eastbourne at 01:21 to form 1F01. If I've misunderstood please feel free to correct me. 5F01 I'm assuming is the Q move at 04:00. I couldn't work out the stock for this train as it's runs as required for route proving. Fictionally I decided to extend both 5F01-Q and 5F02-Q into Eastbourne Sidings because there is no berthed stock that can operate these services (all forming trains that depart before the stock returns). However, the platform allocation is as per the planned allocation at Eastbourne for both services. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: traindriver17 |

Hi, Hopefully this solves your 5F02 problem as this is the regular plan from the EBN Shunters. 5F02 slots in to form 5F06 in real life as RF05 berths in platform 3 vice 1 after detaching from the 1U73 00:07 EBN - BTN. 2U68 berths in platform 1 for 2U01 at 05:35. 2U76 berths in Plat 1 as well for 1U90. 5F71 berths on Plat 2 for 1F01 with 5U50 arriving from the sidings on top of Plat 2 for 5F94. 5D69 arrives on top of Plat 1 for 2D02 and then 1F72 arrives at the top of Platform 3 for 5F06 or 5F01 if required.

Thank you for your insight into the ghost trains at Eastbourne. It's certainly interesting how much stock is actually berthed in the station rather than the sidings as planned. Where possible I'm trying to keep as much of the timetable in line with what is written on paper. What happens in reality may differ, but individual users can amend as required. My aim was to make the simulation as busy as possible, running the ghost trains from the sidings does help that as well as requiring minimal alterations to the booked working - I can just add Eastbourne sidings and minimum dwell at Eastbourne station. I take on board that this may not reflect what happens on the day, but I hope that this provides a good replica of what's supposed to happen. And who knows, I may make changes in the future - but no promises. Last edited: 29/05/2024 at 16:44 by Trainman525 Reason: None given Log in to reply The following user said thank you: matthewcraig3 |
